Seems like something the devs should be spending time investigating, if only to put a disclaimer on various forums (in a place that is easy to see :) - or, ideally, to stop it from happening. I didnt disable VR, but stopping background programs from updating in the Oculus app seems to have fixed the issue - not sure as Ive done a lot of different things trying to work this out.
